Okay 27th FIS guys. Got a modeler over on Facebook asking about the pitot tube paint job on early 27th Sixes. Photos from the era show a mixed bag, but he's wondering if 58-0900 had the yellow/black stripes. I'm guessing yes. Anyone know for sure?
(I know, I know! Going way back!)
Thanks - Mark O

Thanks - Mark O Most of ours were red and white barberpole, best I can recall LOTS of pics with the yellow/black on the 27th FIS photo page Jim. Even pics with the buzz number still on the fuselage! Some are even just plain black. With the big fuselage stripe they put on 80900 I'm almost certain that at some point it had a yellow/black pitot tube. Thanks!
