posted from the airforce assn. For more than 20 years, when I would hear a Huey overhead, I kept waiting to hear the ambulance siren..... When I didn't hear the siren and heard the jet engine shutdown, I would turn around, wait for the morgue wagon to turn into the helo pad. It was rare that neither vehicle would show up when the helo landed. My hooch for 12 months, was right across the road from the DUSTOFF pads. After I forced my self to realize that I was in AZ and not in Nam, I was able look and watch it fly over. Walking to my job, we walked by it, and down the ramp a ways we would be in their flight line, so we would have chance to talk with the maint. crews. There were quite a few purple hearts in that group, as most of them also flew. One of those guys belongs to my lodge here in Payson....

was visiting my son in the bay area of the stupid held country of california... we like to go to museums together and both like airplanes... saw the attached in the gift shop of the hiller aviation museum ... how to delete my outlook account
