Lorin,,, Well you are told in April that your surgery will be in June and you will be called with the date. For 5 1/2 weeks we heard nothing. E-mails were not returned, letter refused, and no letter waiting for us when we returned June 3rd. After Senator Cantwell got involved we got a call and were told they would keep us informed. Did not hear anything for another 30 days plus or minus a few days. That is piss poor service.! Then I contacted Patient Rep and we got a few calls with excuses. Just a few days ago they called and said Belinda's surgery was now scheduled for July 24th. Its finely all coming together. With the mess and damage done by the last surgeon this surgery is expected to be 6 to 9 hours. I know this surgeon is great but he has a mess to work with & fix so I do not have big expectations on the out come.

Good news is Belinda's knee surgery is in 4 hours. Bad news is that its a very serious surgery and this surgeon has lots of repairing and fixing too due to make it correct. But he did the other knee and it turned out perfect. Just hope and pray this out come is the same. After surgery its dealing with the pains and starting physical therapy. Week by week and day by day recovery for months.

Welcome back and hope your knee gets better soon. I had my left knee replaced in Jan 2017 and it works great, just some lingering pain, especially when in bed at night. Doc says it may never be pain free. But it sure works better. I believe it's because of the '05 door. Back when I was MA-1 our RADAR film recorder was on '05 door and we would put left knee on pavement and lower and raise door. All that weight on knee had to do some damage. And we had to replace film after every mission, then take it to debriefing to develop it. After they upgraded to MMST scope the recorder was on scope and pilot would load it and take it to debriefing with him, so that job going away was great, and the '05 door got a lot lighter. Lorin

My wife had both knees replaced several years apart. The surgeon said it takes 8 months to a year before you will be completely happy with the results. Its major thing the body has gone through and it takes a long time to get the body to adjust to it. When it does you will be glad you did it.

I suggest we all take a look at this site (zom.earth) and click on the 3 bars on the left side and select fire spots. It sure looks like something Biblical is going on around the world with fires. zoom.earth/

I suggest we all take a look at this site (zom.earth) and click on the 3 bars on the left side and select fire spots. It sure looks like something Biblical is going on around the world with fires. zoom.earth/ Gary, an interesting website I have not seen before. In the upper right there is an X that takes you to About Zoom Earth. The text says: About Zoom Earth
Zoom Earth shows live weather satellite images updated in near real-time, and the best high-resolution aerial views of the Earth in a fast, zoomable map. Explore recent images of storms, wildfires, property and more.
Live weather imagery is updated every 10 minutes via satellites NOAA GOES and JMA Himawari-8, and every 15 minutes via EUMETSAT Meteosat satellites.
Daily imagery is provided by services from NASA’s GIBS, part of EOSDIS. NASA-NOAA satellite Suomi-NPP, and MODIS Aqua and Terra provide continuous imagery for “AM” at local 10:30am, and “PM” at local 1:30pm.
Historical imagery is sourced from Microsoft and Esri.
Storm tracks and forecast maps are created using the most recent data from NHC, JTWC and IBTrACS.
Fire spots are updated daily with satellite thermal sensor data from FIRMS via GIBS.
© 2020 Neave Interactive | Disclaimer | Privacy PolicyIt doesn't say how the readings are taken for detecting fires but looking at Central South America, Central Africa, Madagascar, Europe, and Eastern Australia it seems they have worse problems with fires than the U.S. does and ours are bad from Iowa to the west coast. Maybe this is drought and lightening strikes setting off fires due to weather conditions? The activists are blaming recent weather on Global Climate Change and the Dems are blaming Trump for everything. I see that Hurricane Sally is headed for Louisiana. The third Hurricane to hit them in a month. We have only had good weather satellites and super computer forecasting for the last 25-30 years to see and record all the amazing stuff that happens on earth. Is it Biblical? I don't know. God made us and this planet, gave us free will, and left us as Stewards to take care of it. With all that's going on today it looks like we are not keeping our part of the agreement. Thanks for sharing! Pat P.
