Went down with my son to visit my daughter, and grandson in Custer, SD over the Thanksgiving weekend. So nice to see them, and it was my first real visit to the Black Hills. Fun!!
Downtown Custer, SD
The Gordon Stockade just outside of Custer, SD. (A shelter used by a party of illegal gold seekers.) Much smaller than I thought it would be.
I had to dodge this bison licking salt off the road in Wind Cave National Park! (Have a video too!)
Nice view as I rounded a curve on US 87 in the Black Hills National Forest!
More in a sec...

A few more from my Custer, SD trip...
Seriously lost track of the number of deer I saw!
Great sunset at the intersection of US 87 & US 385 in the Black Hills!
A poor shot of the perpetually, in-work Crazy Horse Monument. Taken while driving on US 385.
There are EIGHT, Bighorn sheep in this photo! They were kind enough to cross at the sign for us! (Note the tracking collars.) This was just outside Deadwood, SD.
I really had a great weekend, and needed it very much!
