This old "SLUSH PUMP" player can still do a pretty damn good job! Sat in with the local Community Band and I was able to do even better than I expected - considering I had not played in over 8 months! even got some complements -to whit - "Glad you are back!" I actually got to play back in late April ! I was on my way back from Arkansas for my older brothers funeral and i stopped at a cousin who lives in Des Moines. his wife mae arrangements to attend a local high school musical - "The Music Man" and i really enjoyed listening AND I got to play with them.. Turns out when I went up to the band - before the play started - the director was an old student of mine from Lowry! He loaned me a T-Bone and I sat in with them and played! 76 Trombones would have never sounded right without a trombone in the orchestra pit! They only had a baritone player who was very good but could not cover both parts alone! Enjoyed it immensely!!!!! MArv
