OK, Wife and I bought a home back in Fairborn a block away from where we used to live. We can see the roof from our new home. And it is the same model home as we lived in for 24 years. We actually looked at this new home before we bought our other one. Crazy right? So I promised the wife we would wait for nice weather to move. So over the last couple weeks we have moved the delicate things, china, nic naks etc. So yesterday my two youngest boys ands wives helped us move the big things...sofa's, beds dressers etc. I rented a26" U-Haul and we filled it to the brim and then unloaded it at new place. I haven't worked that hard in years. Today I made another run and brought the food stuff and a couple new boxes of towels/linens. So we slept in the new house for first time last night. Reminds me of military moves, except this time I packed the boxes and helped carry them on/off truck. I am now one tired puppy. Glad I did this before my 70th birthday (4 July). I would probably be too old then. Now I have to finish garage and do clean up/fix up and get it on the market. Lorin

Moving,,,,,,,,How I hate the sound of that. Did it too many times in the USAF. retired in 1995 and in Nov 1989 we purchased this home on 7 acres a full 75 miles from the base. I commuted for 5 years but it was worth it.
Got a pic of your new place?

Wow, Gary, you guys have weird codes concerning placement of propane tanks under cover and virtually right up against a building...... Where is the pressure relief valve for the tank located? Average pressure in a 250 gal tank is in the vicinity of 125psi plus. I am surprised that the company would service it in its present location........ www.propane101.com/propanetankdistancerules.htm NFPA code 58

That is a 12 inch concrete wall with rebar. Then a fireplace brick wall. It passed code.

As part of moving I had to transfer my Time Warner Cable to the new house. Since the new place had used Direct TV, no TW Cable wiring was installed. So TW sent tech's out and rewired the house before we moved. Well seems like TW knew better than me when I was moving so they disconnected my old house a week before we moved. So they had to cancel the new address account and reset old address. Well we di majority of move on Sat. I plugged in cable TV box and internet modem and everything connected and worked great. I also have VOIP telephone and it went out and registered the new IP address and it worked fine. I called TW Cable today to notify them that I was moved. So even though they have been out and wired house and checked out service, and I plugged it in and it works great, they have to sent out a tech to "install" services. And even though we are on the same Dayton system, new accounts have to be issued. Including another new account for new address. I guess it's no wonder we have to pay so much for cable. So now I am awaiting tech to "install". They have a 4 hour window to arrive. Lorin
