 my dad had these when he was a flight engineer on the C 124 globemaster... do'nt recall if it was changed when he went to the jet in '65... its 47F 29.84...heavy overcast... .23 inches of rain since midnite... |

Hey Guys! Thanks for the birthday wishes, and sorry for the absence lately. I only get on my laptop if I go to the base library down here at Laughlin AFB. Here right now (3/14, around 4:15-ish), getting some documents for my new job. Took the physical (sort of a physical anyway!) this morning, and took a lift test at the gym. Three hours after I turned the paperwork in to the Civilian Personnel office I got the official email that I start next Monday (the 21st.) Amazingly I still have no idea what shop I am going to be working at! Oh well... Now to find a place. Seems all I can find are houses, or 2-3 bedroom apartments around here! Not a 1-bedroom to be found, and if one does, there is a waiting list!
So, I am starting as a WG-05 which sucks, but I put in an app for a WG-07 position here, and still haven't heard about the WG-08 job yet. I figure once I start, and they find out what my background is, that may help me move up some.
Oh, and for you guys following the weather, we did get some rain last week, but nothing near the folks to the east of us got. It's 89 degrees here as I type this as well!

Mark O Mark, See if there are any trailer parks with trailers to rent. A friend of mind lived there a year ago in a trailer park. He was a Capt. flight training instructor. Kept a Corvette, motorcycle, pickup truck and bass boat at the trailer site. He now files choppers out of Andrews up and down the Potomac usually loaded with politicians. He'd rather be back at Laughlin or Afghanistan. He can make a Huey do stuff it was never designed to do. Fortunately, he deleted the YouTube videos.
