On the 25th I hit the big "65" - Belinda and I are meeting friends at the casino buffet for dinner then this weekend we are taking our 3 grandsons to Great Wolf Lodge for some fun. We are letting them take their Mom & Dad along also. I need my son there to help keep up with those 3 boys. Going up and down those stairs for the water slides is tiresome. If you ever been inside a Great Wolf Lodge water park you know what I mean. Got my new Social Security Card with parts A & B on it and now starting Tricare For Life so no more co-pays with doctors visits. I've never been sorry making the USAF a career. The retired benefits are great. God Bless to you all. Had my Retirement in the fall of 1995 next to the F-106 - of course.

Well, a belated HAPPY 84th to my Air Museum Tour Guide Biendhoa, aka Jay who turned 84 yesterday. And a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the kid amongst us who turns 54 today...... Looks like Jay is the OLDEST regular poster and Mark is the youngest at 54..... The Next To The Oldest Sarge

Well, 66 years ago today, at 1030 hrs, I and 14 others boarded a USAF C-47 at the Buffalo, NY airport, flew to Rochester, NY and picked up some more men, then to Syracuse, NY and picked some more men then landed at Geneva, NY where an Air Force bus picked us up and took us to Sampson AFB, NY. We were joined by about 25 more men from NY and Pa. Believe it or not these were the men that I would take basic training with. Turned 18 before I finished basic.
