On March 14, 2004 my father, John Bennett Rux, MSgt (Ret) passed away at home after battling cancer. He was laid to rest on March 26, 2004 in the Roy Cemetery, Roy, WA. Members from the McChord AFB Honor Guard, his last duty station, performed the Flag Ceremony and Taps. I am proud of my Dad's 26 years of service in the United States Air Force as is my Mother, Ethel. We also wish to say thank-you to those who served with him during his tour of duty and those who are currently serving in the United States military.
Thomas M. Rux, STS1(SS) USN (Ret)

As a young two striper I worked for your father in the fire control flight line shop, and maintenance debriefing. He taught me a lot about military life and life in general. When I think of my 26 year military career I often think of Sgt Rux and the influence he had on my life. He will be missed.

Very sorry to hear about your Dad. Salute to him. I was a member of the 318th FIS also. God Bless to you and your family.
