Anyone identify the tail dragger in this picture? ? Boeing Model 307 Stratoliner... www.boeing.com/boeing/history/boeing/stratoliner.page(Whoops, missed your reply Jim Too, but here is another link!) Mark O. Oh, in the story in the link I posted there is this line: "The Stratoliner was the first airplane to have a flight engineer as a member of the crew."
It should say it was the first LAND-BASED airplane to have a flight engineer. The flying boats had them well before the 307 did.
