Has anyone seen this happen? I have been using IE9, and when I click on "HOME" (just below the reverse-image NJANG Sixes) the page looks like this... A couple times it has fixed itself when I hit refresh, or "Home" a second time, but sometimes it does not. This has only been happening over the past hour, or so. All other pages within the forums are full-screen. This has only happened on the home page, and only in IE9. (I tried several times in Firefox.)

The problem with the forum home page squeezing itself to the left on my laptop seems to have dissapeared. After messing with it a bit to see what was going on I tried to restart my computer (usually I just let it "sleep", and only restart it every other day or so), but it wouldn't restart, so I ended up doing a system restore. Seems to have done the trick.
Go figure...

Definitely sounds like a screen refresh issue whether it be the OS or browser. Could also be impacted by your network connection where the page load isn't allowed to occur properly. I'll as some questions about it on the support forum.

And I haven't seen any other threads posted in support on it. Goes back to the old saying "a reboot fixes most problems".

I had this issue earlier today, I closed IE9 and then reloaded and all seemed well for a while then it came back same way. I just closed out and did some other things. It hasn't happened this time. Lorin

The only issue I've come across is an "at work" issue. I can't browse the forum for more than about 10 minutes before I get a "network error". Only happens at work, regardless of the browser I use.

MOW says- I think it's time for an upgrade guys... you can hang on to legacy all you want, but eventually you will be left behind, lost in the dust.
Would you change your 498 HP engine with 3000 m oil change for 500 HP with 100 m oil change?.
ProB V5 is a lot like that- some fluff stuff, some things that most will never use or be aware of, some that will only be understood by GEEKS. On the whole, I think I have grasped most of the changes... I have noticed that the computer world is a lot like the old military- change is good, you will like it, will make your job easier (now takes 2 to do what one did) over 10 years it will save 500,000 acres of trees, always all sorts of justification, and just like in the military, once you catch on to it, along comes a new kid with a better idea!!!!!!!!!!! But by the time I am 80 (2 years), I will be well versed in this and Transformation will set in... Will V5 scare me away, no, I have been here a very long time.... Good thing Pat P is Younger that Pat Mc..... I feel better now- The Old Sarge

Jim what the hell are you talking about? The computer world is the computer world as it's always been, even back when a single computer was so small it could 'fit inside one room', and yes although I have not quite hit 60 yet, I do remember those days. Computer technology is always changing, just faster these days, and if you don't keep up you will be left behind. Like it or not, that IS the world we live in today so when it comes to anything dealing with computers you have only one of two choices... accept it and try and keep up, or ignore it and be left behind. It's really that simple. It doesn't have to make any sense in the least, that's just the way it is like it or not. Many of the problems some of you have or are seeing is due to legacy apps, connections, equipment etc trying to handle the newer technology. Legacy these days can mean only a few years, so that nice new Vista OS computer you bought 4 years ago... legacy! Like it or not, support for legacy 'anything' doesn't last long before it becomes EOL (end of life) and then EOS (end of service). Windows Vista sucks (sorry Chaplain)! The whole reason Vista didn't last is because it was SO bad it would have cost more money to fix than it was worth, so MS dumped it and replaced it. I said "time for an upgrade" because these are just the facts of life in the computer world. If nobody wants to upgrade, fine, it's up to you.

I worked for a Sergeant Major back in Germany that used to say if you waited to buy the "latest and greatest" computer you would never buy one.
That was in 1990!
I ended up buying a Packard Bell 286 with one meg of RAM, a 40 MB hard drive, one 5 1/4" drive, a 3 1/2" drive, and a VGA monitor! Whoo Hoo!! I was smokin'!

Actually, if it is advertised, and you buy it the next day, you are about 2 weeks from being placed on the EOL. I actually think we did pretty damned good learning as much as we did without an instruction manual.. I have printed out all of the instructions that have been posted, so I should be able to keep up- even with this 5 month old HP Omni

I'd say it's another round of Vista...

Ditto on WIN8! I started with a Trash 80 and a cassette drive.
