Was a Genie ever test fired in the air at a drone target or targets to see what would happen? ??

Only one live fire of MB-1 Genbie was accomplished and that was from from F-89D. But many "live" fire with dummy spot charge warhead were accomplished. While I was at Tyndall 1967-1971 we had many F-106 fire the Genie, but withour Nuke.

The only MB-1 live fire was from an F-89J, that aircraft is on display at the Montana ANG Base in Great Falls Montana.
F-89J, F/CF-101's and F-106's routinly fired ATR-2A's (non-nuclear version of the Genie) at Tyndall. Ricks Trophy Competition in 1965 was for F-89J's firing only the Genie.
