Prayers are needed for Bullhunter's daughter and her family in Turkey.
She and her husband are both stationed there, along with their children.
You might want to take another look at the long interview I posted about the Libyan weapons transfer to Turkey.

Jim, I have heard many other issues with Wounded Warrior. Mainly the % of donations that actually get to a Warrior. Lastest I saw on Operating expenses shows over 50% going to "Admin" which is about the same as Red Cross, which I refuse to assist. Salvation Army does much more. I also give regularly to DAV and Fisher House. I particularly like Fisher House as I became close to it at WPAFB. A good friend and co-worker Chris Stanley (Retired MSgt) has been the leader since early 2000's. I helped on many fund raisers and helped with my own donations. They provide food and housing to parents/families of troops getting care at WPAFB Hoslital. Since it is a Regional Hospital, we get a lot of patients from surrounding states. So I couldn't agree with you more on the Liberal hate religions that Wounded Warriors has taken. Want to bet on founder's voting record as well?

Thanks for thinking of my daughter's family. They have been advised several times laterly not to leave the base because of protests. Just hoping this all calms down soon. The world does not need anymore hot spots. As for donations to worthy causes. My wife and I give to the USO, DAV's, McChord Air Museum, and our little Church.

Hey Guys! I know that the "Wounded Warriors project" that you see on TV is not fully truthful in where the money they collect ends up. There is an alternative project that you can donate to that will send 100 per cent of your donation to our wounded. It is called Operation Comfort Warriors. It is sponsered bythe American Legion. You can check into it through the National American Legion Website. MArv Edit: added link www.legion.org/troops/operationcomfort

The Wounded Warriors percentages came to my attention some years ago. They still send me mailings though. Prefer BVA, PVA, Legion, DAV, VFW, USO, Children's Hospital and Salvation Army.

As a young Airman back at McGuire in early 60's, a giant storm hit NY area. The base volunteered about 250 of us Airmen to go sand bag a lot of lower lying areas of NY City. I was standing in knee deep water placing sandbags when the Red Cross van came to our site. They were selling hot drinks and food. But when we left base we were told not to bring billfolds or money, we were to be in wet weather. So no money, no drinks or food. About 20 min later I got tapped on shoulder. A Salvation Army volunteer told me to go get hot drink and something to eat. He took my place on sand bag detail. They fed our whole team that day. So any guess as to how I distribute my charity money? Lorin

When I enlisted, 31 January 1952, I don't recall being told I was waiving my First Amendment Rights.
Nor do I recall signing a paper telling me that Sedition Laws were in place for those in the Military.
Yes, there were some First Amendment Rights we agreed to forego, through AF Regulations, such as actively campaigning for a political candidate in uniform, or a bumper sticker.
No, we didn't have computers, computer social media or watchdogs breathing down our necks.
We knew when we were about to cross the line, well most of us, and stayed safe.
The Marine in question, made statements that many Military Members have been making for centuries.
It seems like the PC forces are doing all they can to destroy our liberties, and really, I mean really pushing the Military to conform or suffer the consequences.
I guess that is why our troops are charged with murder for killing our enemies.

My wife and I arrived at Incirlik Air Base two days ago. Visiting with our daughter, son-in-law, and 3 beautiful granddaughters. My daughter said the missile batteries are set up on the far side of that base. She will give us a tour and we will be able to see them in the distance but no photographing is allowed on base at all or photos taken of the base from off base. Yesterday we had lunch across the street from the main security gate. We were on the 2nd floor with a great photo opportunity and my daughter cautioned about the photo taking. Sure don't want to end up in a Turkish Jail. I'm happy the missiles are here.

Welcome to the Gulag.
There is likely more of this going on than makes it to the Net.
I wonder why none of us have had that knock on the door, and a trip to the VA Shrink Ward.
I'm sure we are being watched, and may just be a matter of time before we are called upon to explain why we are the way we are.
Oh, that's right, we have protection under the Constitution.
Yeah, right!
I read about similar tactics being used in NAZI Germany, and in the Soviet Union, to get rid of dissenters.
I wonder how long it will be before we see people being transported to the FEMA "Resetlement Centers", out in the middle of Wyoming?
Don't pack a bag, in anticipation, they probably won't let you take it along, as they will "provide all your needs".
