My brother had a gall blader attack Thursday. He was put on Surgical Ward and scheduled for Orthoscopic surgury Friday at 2:45 PM. He finally got into Operating room at 8:45 PM. The Doctor went home after surgery without even telling my Sister in law he was done and things went well. But about 2 am this morning he woke up and felt weak and sweaty. Called Nurses station and they weren't available. They had an emergency. Tom was able to get his wife awake (Sleeping on chair in room) and she went to find nurse. When nurse checked his vitals, his Blood Presure was 60/40 and falling. She sounded the Code Blue and Tramma team came to the rescue. He had internal bleeding so they wheeled him to ICU and put a stint in neck and pumped 2 pints of blood and about 5 bags os saline water into him. His BP came back, but they put in a vacuum drain and pulled blood out all day today. The Doc tonight was still worried about drainage (Still bleeding abit slowly) and will continue to watch and hope bleeding stops. They were going to open him up today, but hospital was overwhelmed with emergencies. So a prayer would probably be his best remedy right now. I have called in my request from up above. A few more would probably help. Thanks in advance Lorin

Added to the Prayer List. BTDT, my mother had a gallstone lodge and start backup of bile that if left unattended three more hours would've likely been fatal--it's damn scary seeing it, and she described it as so painful it was even worse than giving birth.

I'll keep pouring some prayer into the wounds, maybe his bile will dry up, and he can pee, then everything else will be fine, LOL
Good that he's getting better.

Thanks to all. I went to visit again today and his surgern came by while the wife and I were still their. Tom is making good progress, the bleeding is almost stopped (Liver) and his Doc gave nurses go ahead to let him have some jello, soda crackers and clear broth. Said if all went well tonight he will be move out of ICU tomorrow and a couple days on normal ward and he could be going home Thursday...If all continues to go well. So thanks again, the prayers are working, Lorin

I'll keep putting more on the table, at least for the next few days, Just In Case, but hopefully they wont be needed, and someone else can catch them.

Tom is doing much better. They took out the drainage tube and the Stint on his neck (IV/Meds etc) today. He got up and moved around today. Doc says he should be good to go tomorrow. Back home is much better than Hospital. So thanks to all. I told Tom and he wanted me to pass along his thanks for a job well done. Hand Salute... Lorin
