What do you want for them I'll take $30 each for them. You pay shipping cost. I had them looked at by a dealer at a Sportsmens store about 4 years ago,and he said they were very good quality. The store would have taken them but they did not do consignments. Not something you could buy these days. Like I said these used to be my dads. They might be 1940's vintage or even 1930's.

Gary, I don't think that they will go back into the 30s and may even be into the late 50s.. Both rods look like they are a plastic or fiberglass. The one with the red butt looks like anodized aluminum which would put it into the late 50s, and it was not a cheap process... That reel looks like it might be a Shakespear. The other reel looks like a Pfluger automatic rewind. The rods look to to be 6-7 foot 2 piece rods. They are well worth the 30.00 you are asking. I was lucky, my first fly rod was a 7 1/2 foot Tonkin Bamboo 3 piece with 2 spare tips and an OLD Shakespear reel. This was given to me by an OLD MSGT that run the Ground Power Section at Griffiss 56-58.... He caught me fishing up above the hatchery on the Mohawk with a cheap spinning rod.... Said "Sarge, I will trade some real fishing tools for that piece of crap kids toy fishing stick, and teach you to use it. Deal ?" Needless to say we beat hell out of the water that day and a lot of time getting the fly out of the bushes. I never touched a spinning rod the rest of my fishing life. Even trolled for lake trout in Maine letting the wind drift my canoe... Just had tell a story that didn't lie about the size of the fish.......... And Yes, you Vietnam vets should recognize the name Tonkin Bamboo

The red rod appears to be a Berkley Wonder Rod but cannot make out any identifying numbers from the photo's. Same with the metal fly reel. Most of my Fly Reels like that have company names and models. My best one is a 5" aluminum one made in 1930's and worth over $100. It also has the handle made out of screws. Lorin

I didn't do much fly fishing but I bought an automatic rewind fly reel and used an old clear-glass rod that was 7.5 ft. long for surface fishing for white crappies in the early Spring. I had a blast trying this new technic that my friend and I did on Spring lake.

The 2 fly rods have sold for exactly the amount. A retired USMC bought them and he takes troubled veterans fly fishing in Idaho. Could think of a better place for them to go and be used.
