That was great, Ron.
I have been to most of the places in the video.
Years ago, Disneyland had a Circle-Vision 360 show called "America the Beautiful".
You stood in a very large room, with hand rails running through the room, a number of them.
The screens were indeed, 360 degrees.
When the film began you instantly grabbed the hand rail, to keep from falling over, as the film looked like it was tilting.
There were several films used, one, for some reason, of Red China.
The two original films were shot all across America.
To get the aerial shots, they used a specially equipped B-25, that had a camera pod in the bomb bay, which was enclosed in a Plexiglas's housing.
The camera was about a foot across, but shot 360 degrees.
They also had nose, tail and side mount cameras.
For ground sequences, they used some specially equipped small trucks.
The two original films were a magnificent look across America, and I wish they were still there.
Disney now has "Flying over California", which is on a super wide-screen.
The film is shown while you sit in suspended rows of seats, which tilt and lean, while the film is playing.
They spray scents from the canopies over the seats, while you go over different areas.
The most distinguishable scent is the Orange Blossoms as you go over an Orange grove.
We live in a magnificent land, filled with more wonders than most can imagine.
