Wow, that brings back the old McGuire 539th days. I remember a lot of those places. I was always surprised at how rural Jersey was, even being next to NY City.

I'm a native and have lived in both north and south. Even when I lived at Mcgoo, I didnt really know about the Pinelands. When I lived in the south, I began to understand that it was something very unique. Like the everglades without airboats and alligators, but with kayaks, canoes and campgrounds. NJ has everything from history, to big industry, forests, resorts, gambling, every kind of racing, farms, seashore, mountains, and everything in between. This wee it also has over a hundred degrees, humidity in the 80 and 90 % range, and subzero and blizzards in the winter.
