Remember a rock and roll band from the 50's/60's called the Ventures? Their signature song was an instrumental called "Walk, Don't Run". But how many know that their original drummer was none other than USAF Gen George Babbit? Babbit retired in 2000 as commander of AFMC. Check out his performance in a 1998 reunion (in uniform no less): (Edit: Moderator edit correcting hyperlink.)

Oh my! What a coincidence!
Just today at work we were talking about famous, TV show theme songs, and I got everyone with, "Who performed the theme song to 'Hawaii Five-O'? No one knew!
Yep. The Ventures. I have that song on my iPod!
I don't think General Babbitt played on that song, but it's a song by The Ventures, and very cool!
Thanks for the info Dude!!

I just remembered this thread as I'm sitting here listening to "Outlaw Country", Channel 60 on SiriusXM. Guess what they just played?
Yep. "Walk, Don't Run" by The Ventures.
On Outlaw Country! No, it's not an oldies channel. It's The Steve Earl show, and he plays just about anything he likes.
