Normally I'd add this to my "wanted" section, but was curious, for all you maintenance individuals, did you wear the various maintenance patches? The AEMS, OMS, MMS, FMS, etc. You rarely see them even on ebay and when you do they are usually CAMS patches. I'd be interested in any color maintenance, supply, transportation or security patches, etc., but also to hear about there useage. Thank you Attachments:

The only patches I wore were the 49th F-106 patch, and the 49th Cavaliers patch. I want to say the AGE troops had a patch of their own, and possibly the missile shop had their own patch too.

When I was at McGuire AFB we all wore the 539th FIS Patch, the ADC Patch and a F-106 patch. The color of the patch represented Shop. If I remember right Red was OMS, Blue was AMS/MA-1, and others. Pilots also had different colored F106 patch for flight assigned to. PS, the color of patch corresponded to radio call sign for expediate trucks. MA-1 was Blue 1/2, OMS was Red 1/2/3 etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I know at Lakenheath we were only required to wear the USAFE patch, but I also wore the 48th TFW and MMS patches. Once I got to TAC, it was a totally different story and all patches had to be worn.

At Selfridge during the early 60's there were 1st Ftr Wg, 1st A&E, 1st OMS, 1st FMS, ect. at Oxnard when we first got there we didn't what patch to wear as they changing Sq number every month, I think everyone left the 456 patch on or didn't wear one.
