I figured the trivia thread would be a good place to post this story. www.foxnews.com/world/2011/12/17/last-american-troops-leave-iraq-marking-end-war/I figure that's what this day will end up being. A trivia question. Ah hell, I don't know. I spent a bunch of my time there, and it cost me and my family a lot. It cost a bunch of families a lot. Much more than I gave. Would I do it again? No matter how much I look at the cost, yea, I still would. It's in my nature, but I gotta be honest. I hated it. Most people may not understand that, but I think you guys do. We've all heard that saying about having mixed emotions, and right now I've never had so many. The biggest good I am thinking right now is I'm thankful that there will be many more families will be together this Christmas than there were last year. I'll just leave it there for now. Family...

from an airlifters point of view it ain't half over... theres millions of pounds of supplies and MHE, plus all the equipment that will be airlifted back... i hope those troops will be protected til that part of the mission is complete... over a 1/3 of my old aerial port squadron was assignned over there on a rotational basis...now they will be the last to leave... God Bless all the personnel over there , and their families!!
