I was down buying a bag today at the Royal Bag Shop outside the main gate of Osan AB and wondered how popular an F-106 key-chain might be if I had some made? Seeing as they make them for just about every modern aircraft out there I was starting to feel left out. Thoughts?

Pat Mc, Daggers & Key Chains 1- Like # 4 on the key chains 2- Go for the Delta Daggers on a separate page. The few site links I had for them are now dead. Bob Justus 456th site has a page on the F-102 with mulriple page links included. www.456fis.org/F-102.htmHas Polly been in touch yet? I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you at least linked to these pages for now on your F-102 page. Thanks, Pat P.

Bottom one looks great.
My Son-in-law flys around on C-17's for maintenance. He had some of these made in Turkey I think but alittle bigger with C-17 and last name on them. Uses them on his luggage when traveling.
Most luggage looks the same on the belts. I started attaching a red piece of rope to our bags and it seems now that lots of travelers are doing the same thing.
Like to see them copy this. :2thumbsup
Is that their actual size?

Pat, I really like the bottom key ring.
Nice to see the Six in profile.

They both look great. I also prefer the second one (#1 & #3 look like the flip side of 2 & 4), but would carry either one.
:2thumbsup

Yea, those are Luggage Tags, longer and wider with snaps on the end to wrap around your handle and snap. I've been using those for years. Those actually may even be better than key chains. They would cost less. I'll think about that one too.

I'd be happy to purchase at least 2 of the last one, personally I like blue better, but any color would be fine, even 106 gray. I really dont care how long they are either, I'd find someplace to use them, but a shorty would be best for a key ring.
Let me know where to send a check and for how much.

back in the '70s the flying squadrons used different colored tapes like the M O W was talking about... 8th MAS was my dads, and his were blue... i'd go for a couple in blue with the jet profile... :clap

Ok Ok I think this will be a hit, but I don't have these made yet. The images are what I made in Photoshop. I will have to make the purchase and have them made. But first, let me do some more 'sampling' to include the larger luggage tags and post them here. I actually think the luggage tags would be better since you can use them in more places: suitcases, computer bags, backpacks etc. As for colors, I used the red for the key chain because of the "Remove Before Flight" theme. These key cahins are embroidered on both sides i.e. image #3 is one side and image #4 is the other side. With a luggage tag I don't know if we would go with that same theme as the tags are not made on both sides, only one side. But I think I could design something using the red Remove Before Flight and F-106 theme all on one side. Let me play with it.

dont care, I'm still in, but would prefer keychains.
not sure about as bag tags, some yahoo underground at an airport might decide to get cute and remove them before flight.
My nephew is a ground guy, he'd not be the only one to do it.

Both versions look great! My first "like" impression is version #2 with the profile view of the Six, but I really like that version #1 has the entire "F-106 Delta Dart" spelled out.
How much more would it be to add the words "Delta Dart" in a smaller font above the fuselage on version #2? I guess I'll say I'm qualifying my "like" of version #2! Even with the words "Delta Dart" proceeding the "F-106" I believe it will look cool.
I really don't know if making versions with specific squadron markings would me financially viable. (We all know about squadron loyalty.) However, I do see both versions selling on eBay with generic markings. (Especially with a few hints dropped on a couple modeling web sites I know of!) I'd add at least a buck-and-change to the price for profit of course.
There's my two cents.
Edit: In my opinion, I believe the key chains would sell better than the luggage tags for the simple reason that folks like showing off their "things". Everyone carries around their keys, but how many folks carry around a luggage tag?

I'd go for a couple of each. I'm assuming that there are only 2 tags both with "Remove Before Flight" on the back side and the 2nd and 4th ones shown on the front.
I'll be waiting for ordering details. Price is not out of line. I think it's fair for you to make a profit on them. You are doing all the leg work.

I'm assuming that there are only 2 tags both with "Remove Before Flight" on the back side and the 2nd and 4th ones shown on the front. Correct. Only two key chains there. Yea guys, that's how they are. Front and back. The plain-jane RBF key chains are easy to come by, and have been around for years. I use one for my spare keys, and miscellaneous padlock keys. The point is to make these unique.
