I don't want to rain on your parade, but someone to contact would be the Collings Foundation. They know how to deal with our government. They fly a F-4, A-4, Korean war and WWII aircraft. They have the bucks too.

Another organization that would be good for the masses to send a e-mail to would be the Flying Heritage Collection (located at Paine Field WA), owned by Paul Allen, Owner of the Seattle Seahawks (I'm a life long fan - had to throw that in), co-founder of Microsoft, and the 19 richest man in the world. Mr. Allen has many passions, one of those his love for aviation, he owns many aircraft - - one being an F-105G! I would guess a man with a passion for aviation needs an F-106 in his collection, don't ya think? Last week, I wrote an e-mail to the Flying Heritage Museum hoping it would make it all the way to Mr. Allen concerning the F-106’s on sale and the many reasons that the Sixes would be a great addition to his/their collection, I also sent similar comments to the Flying collections "contact us" section. The more visibility this issue gets at the Flying Heritage Museum through e-mails - - the better chance it would be elevated to Mr. Allen - - so I'm asking everyone to write the Flying Heritage Collection asking them to consider the acquisition of the Sixes! If anyone can get a Six back in the air - - - Paul Allen can! Send your e-mails to - - - info@flyingheritage.com or flyingheritage.com/TemplateContactUs.aspx?contentId=36

Hi Dick, I am crew chief of 59-0010 at California Aerospace Museum in Sacramento. I need two pylons and external fuel tanks for my plane. We can purchase these items if you have and are willing to sell them. Thanks

Hi All, Brand new to the forum and still looking around the HUGE amount of info available. Is there any current information on these birds ? I spent a lot of my youth at Griffiss AFB and worked as a civilian until it closed. I was there when the 106 display aircraft at the top of SAC Hill was removed and sent elsewhere due to financial issues. I'd love to see a Six return to GAFB. Updates?

Dinog, it is great to have you come to the Six Hanger.
Hope you enjoy exploring all the information on the site, and gain lots of knowledge of the Six.
Please let us know more about yourself and your time at Griffiss.
We always enjoy hearing from people about their lives and what their connection to the Six is.
Not everybody in the Six Hanger worked on Sixes, but all have a love of the Ultimate Interceptor.

Thanks for the welcome Jim ! I didn't want to misdirect this thread so I introduced myself in the appropriate one.
