Mark, one of the first things you should do right after new years is get a full copy of your medical records, then add to it each time you visit the doctor. Have them copied yourself so they do not get lost. This is the most important thing you will do for yourself before retirement. You want to know why, PM me with your phone number and I'll explain my reasons. Too much to type. I :salute your long military service and say :thanks .......

nothing is easy anymore... i put in my paperwork 30 aug. it will still take them until march of 2011 to get the first complete retirement check... so much for computers... it will be 37 yrs and about 4 months for me... all fed. civil service... i cannot take anymore...

Lugnuts, we are proud to have had you among us and sorry that you were not able to go all the way............ Sounds like you got a pretty good handle on things............... Gene, I was one of the fortunate ones, I was taught by TSgts and MSgts from WW2 - guys like your Dad.....Hopefully I passed on what I was taught by that generation........................ The Old Sarge i'm sure you did... after dad returned stateside in '48 his first base was gt. falls, montana... he was a p-51 mech. there. im sure he taught some young troopers there, cuz, the next thing he did was teach engines at palm beach afb, florida. that was in the real early '50's...
