was just at the T 33 in the backyard... met the man that owns it and a very interesting museum on just about anything air force (not just ours) related.. flightsuits, helmets, nose-hoses, a/c parts, ect. this guy was on the team that recovered the B 17 in the swamps in new guinea... thats not his only T 33 either . hes got a large building out back with enough to start his own flying-circus... hes been all over the world... saw a cartoush from Ramses tomb. he needs a bigger building... way bigger... spend 2 hours and still there more to see... his dad was the training officer / CC for T 33s at Mcchord way before the Dart or the 318th was there... Pictures and an interview??

Gene, What is the guy's name? I'd like to Google him and see if anything has been written or videoed about him and his collection. Seems like a no-brainer to do this before he expires someday. The National Archives has had a film interview of WWII vets going on for years to capture the history locked up in veterans memories that they never talked about. They are fascinating to watch on TV. For many of them it was the first time they ever talked about their experiences in combat.
Does McChord have a curator at the Museum? It seems that a mini-documentary video interview of him and his collection would be a good add to the museum archives. Of course, with your skills, you could shoot the video while the curator interviews him. All that depends on the guy's willingness to show his collection and talk about it.
I remember seeing some pictures of the T-33 at his home but I can't find them on the Forum. I remember duy's write up but I can't find his screen name on the Forum. Do you remember his screen name?

The Old Sarge friday would be the day...which friday, yet to be determined... heard the jet jocks are there then... bullhunter would have a 90 mile trip, that could not materialize for any number of reasons... but that would be ideal... will try to keep this going..

the pass and i.d. people told me that any civilian can get a permit to enter the mcchord air field if he has an enhanced drivers license or u.s. passport... now if he is coming on the field with a in my case, a retired civ. employee possessing a cac without the chip, all required is a valid drivers license on his part... will pass this info on to Glen and see what he would like to do..
