I was just sitting here thinking,,,What if we had been equiped with small digital cameras and cell phones with cameras when we were on active duty back in the 50s', 60's, 70's, & 80's? We sure would have lots more great pictures to share. I recall being very selective of all the pictures I took because film cost money and then the developing was not cheap either. Now-a-days my digital camera can handle 1,000 pictures with excellent quality. I sure would have taken lots more pictures during my career. I bet you all would have also. Correct?

I went through my career thinking it was absolutely forbidden to go on the flightline with a camera or take pictures near it without getting shot, jailed or turning into a frog. Can't remember what left me with that impression. However during open houses it was appearantly OK, but I never took a camera to one. Gutless and stupid is no fun I'll tell you. Have to settle for stealing other's photos now.

HEY GUY, the reason you felt that way is because of the old AFR 95-1 that said you would not take photos under most general conditions...every base had a local suplement... feel free to any photo i'v got posted under the 318th patch on the main F106 world main page...thats what there there for....and i hope you feel better soon..

I didn't know about that rule, but I do know I got yelled at by an armed SP in Guam for taking a picture of a 141!

I took a few stealthy pictures of a 106 in a pod. I wasn't supposed to but I didn't take any of the cockpit or the missiles. If I ever find them, I will try to post them here.
I also took some on the flightline of them just parked but my boss was there and he took one of me on the wing so I guess those were ok. Those are on Photobucket. I'll have to see if I can get them over here.

That legal document from Hill is very typical of military documents. It was put together by a bureaucrat, who didn't have anything else to do for a few days, and sat at his computer putting that mess together.
It took six (6) pages when one (1) paragraph, and not a long one, would have done the job.
Wouldn't life be much simpler without all the bureaucrats?

Somewhere, I've got pictures of the Mockup cabinets and racks if our Webmaster wants copies of them...assuming that I ever find them, that is.
