and if any one is interested the 48th has a web page www.48thfs.org Its a page from the ww2 to present 48th fis. Its not up to date since the person who kept it up to date has not been active but it will give you some back ground on the Squadron

If so, who do you contact about getting in? John Carr, did your 172 emailing to the 48th alumni do any good? (note: the last time John logged on and posted was April 20, 2006, unless he's one of our members who logs on as a guest and just reads. FYI to Pat McGee - just tried to access the alumni listings and there were none. The error message was "There is no such application in Zoho Creator".Hey Cougar, can you do a whois on 48thfs.org and see if they list contact info? Thanks, Pat Perry 456th FIS

Pat has asked and asked for people who are members to log in when they visit and even though I consider myself a frequent poster, I'm sure I visit to look more than I visit to post. I try to log in everytime I visit just for that reason. (Thanks for keeping me honest Pat! ) Now, as far as reuinions, maybe ( ?) an any-and-all squadron/generic F-106/who-care's-what-squadron-you-were-in reunion? Food for thought as I was never a member of any F-106 squadron! (I am partial to the 318th however! ) Cheers! Mark

Well its about time!!!!!!! I'll be happy to go along with an "ALL INCLUSIVE" F-106 reunion! Not sure where a good place would be, but it would seem like Kansas City would be about centered for everyone! Not sure of how many 71st folks are out there or still in the area, but I would love to see as many of my old MA-1 partners as I could. Lets see now, the favorite topic ---How about a game of Jeopardy?? "What pin on the 003 unit had the missle countdown logic on it at "C" time??" Or how about "Pin the tail on the appropriate pilot write-up!" Many other games do come to mind! How about it? Anyone else up for a quick game of "Name that box!" See there! MArv (See what you started!)

I just updated the database site and it's back up now. You may have to refresh the page on browser. Hmmmmm? Pat, I was only able to access the database Alumni Summary Report page and the Most Recently Registered page by clicking the link on the home page. All the small buttons you put on the squadron pages and the "F-106 Alumni Database Links" menu no longer link to each squadron's member page and you get the error message "There is no such application in Zoho Creator". I also tried refreshing the pages but it did not work. Also, upon reaching the Summary Report Page there is no way to get to the individual squadron pages. All there is, is the A-Z total listing. I can click on "Sign In" and get to all the ZoHo data sets and each individual squadron. Bottom line, it seems like the neat squadron buttons you installed a few months ago no longer point to the squadron files. In the meantime if a former 48th member wants me to email him the alumni listing, I'll be glad to help. I didn't think it would be a good idea to copy and paste it into a forum post ;D Hope this info helps, Pat. Pat Perry

Pat Perry Yea the database modifications changed all the page references so the links are wrong. I'm working on updating the links on all pages with a new menu schema so stand by.

Pat Perry Hey Pat I just got back to looking at the page sorry, just havent been active Seems like there are fewer and fewer people interested in the reunions Our's the 48th has more WW2 guys than any thing else and they are getting fewer and fewer. If any one is interested there's a book out about the 14th Fighter Group fromWW2 it contains info on the 48th 49th and 37th Fighter Sqdns. in the big one " The 14th Fighter Group in WW2" the 48th lives on as the 48th Flighing Training Squadn at Columbus Mis. Ill be coming back to the site more often JC
