Hey guys,

Sorry I'm not on as much as I want to these days.  With respect to all my photos being gone, Photobucket has changed to a "pay-to-play" site.  That's why all my pics have that stupid logo in their place now.  For me to post anything via Photobucket it now costs -- get this -- $400.00/year!!!  No kidding!  Not going to happen.  No way, no how.

Anyway, I get on when I can, and try to keep updated although I just don't post much.  I'm still here!

I don't blame you.  $400/year just to share URLs on posts is not worth it.

I'm not sure if this will work but see the picture below of the Add Image feature when making a post.  The window that pops up says, "Drag and drop or paste images here to upload".

If you copy an image from your Photobucket account as a .jpg and paste it in the Add Image window, it should add the image to your post rather than a URL that links back to Photobucket which won't share the link unless you pay the $400/year premium price.

Of course if you are using a cell phone to access the Forum it might be harder to do because of the smaller screen image size.

I don't use any of the photo storage sites anymore because they all changed to higher pricing several years ago.  Many users started storing their pics on their FaceBook page.  That works but they better also store their original pics on their own PC or a thumb drive just to make sure they don't get lost in case FaceBook crashes.

MOW, you, me, and others on the Forum who use FaceBook on the Convair F-106 Delta Dart page(3500 members) have posted many links back to MOW's Main F-106 website to answer questions for users and that has resulted in more people visiting the Main website.  There are ways to share Forum pages and topics on FaceBook, but it is not always easy to do unless you know how to find the Forum post number URL.  It's a shame because we have so many good stories on the Forum that are not present on the Main website.  This is the price we pay for evolving communications technology that is not easily shared on new forms of social media.

MOW's efforts to steer people to the Main website is the right approach.  After all, it is the F-106 encyclopedia, whereas the Forum is the storytelling site.  If we get them to the Main website, there is a chance we can get them to click on the Forum link and look around which happens over 100 times a day on a "drive by" basis since they seldom log in to talk.
